Research Scientist for Clinical Laboratory Research and Test Development

At Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC), our vision is to be the leader in improving child health. The CBDI Hemostasis/Thrombosis and Erythrocyte Diagnostic Laboratories are specialty clinical laboratories housed within the Cancer and Blood Diseases Institute (CBDI). The individual who occupies this position will be responsible for expanding the diagnostic testing repertoire for these laboratories, through test development and validation activities. This will be accomplished by partnering with the laboratory medical directors and clinical laboratory personnel. The position will also provide the opportunity to participate in translational research focused on advancing the patient care mission of these laboratories.

We are seeking individuals with a PhD in the biological sciences with a background in hematologic disorders including coagulopathies, platelet function disorders, hemoglobinopathies and hemolytic anemias. Technical experience including flow cytometry, ELISA and molecular testing methods preferred. Clinical laboratory experience desired.
