    Scholarship Information

    ICCS aims to provide numerous educational resources and opportunities to members at all career levels within flow cytometry, while also specifically recognizing technical staff and the need for targeted support. The MLS Committee was created to help provide practical guidance and education to members in technical flow cytometry roles. This Committee also coordinates scholarships for flow cytometry technical staff to help provide opportunities for ICCS educational offerings.

    The top candidate will be awarded the Early Career scholarship, and they will receive waived registration to both the course and meeting, 5 nights at the headquarters hotel, 2 workshops, as well as a ticket to the social event.

    Additional successful candidates will be awarded an MLS scholarship and they will receive waived registration to the course, and 3 nights at the headquarter hotel.

    Number of Scholarships: The MLS Committee could grant up to 2 scholarships for the ICCS 2026 Fall In-Person Conference. (Meeting/Course or Course only)

    The following items will be considered when reviewing your application:
    1. Selection will be based on merit as demonstrated in the application process.
    2. Provided references may be contacted to aid in selection.
    3. If a majority consensus is not obtained upon review of applications, virtual interviews may be scheduled with eligible applicants as a “tie-breaker.”
    4. Awardee must have active ICCS membership.
    5. Awardee must be considered “technical” staff (MLS/MLT/MT/CLS) who are working as bench techs, technical specialists, quality coordinators, supervisors, or other technical roles within a flow cytometry laboratory.
    6. Awardee must not have received any other ICCS sponsorship and/or scholarship during the prior 12-month period.

    Scholarship Details

    Early Career Scholarship - This scholarship is to be awarded to one clinical flow cytometry technologist who is relatively new to clinical flow cytometry in order to further education in the field. Awardees may be medical technologists, or other bench technologists who are actively involved in the daily performance of flow cytometry technology in a clinical setting. This scholarship is to give a broad range of educational experiences to the awardee.

    MLS Scholarship -This scholarship could be awarded up two clinical flow cytometry technologists. Awardee(s) must be considered “technical” staff who are working as bench techs, technical specialists, quality coordinators, supervisors, or other technical roles within a flow cytometry laboratory.
